File Sharing, Word Count & Format
Submit your final article in WORD format to facilitate editing and typesetting after submission.
Formatting: After submission, your work will be typeset by the graphic designer to align with the TMPJ layout and styling. As such, do not worry about font type or size in your Word document. The graphic designer will copy and paste your work from the Word document exactly as it is, so ensure spelling, paragraphs, italics etc. are all correct in your final submission.
Word Count: We recommend that authors tell the story they need to tell in their submission (and imagine what the reader wants or needs to read, relevant to the theme of the issue and your thesis or narrative), rather than focusing on a strict word count. However, the following can inform your work as a guideline:
Exegesis (where the primary work is visual, poetic or other artistic form): c.500-1000 words
Reflective writings or short essays (these works can be accompanied by images or artefacts): c. 1000-2000 words
Research articles: 3000-4000 words. Longer articles (5000 words or more) don't work well in this kind of journal, but they can also be considered.
File Sharing: Please share your final work using a file transfer method that we will have access to for an extended period (e.g. Dropbox/ OneDrive/ Google Drive). Do not use temporary WeTransfer links that will expire after 10 days. Ensure you provide access to all shared files/folders. Ensure files/folders are open access or alternatively, assign full editing access to info@themetamorphosisproject.org.
